"We condemn settlement construction that can not be justified, in the context of peace itself," said foreign ministry spokesman Teuku Faizasyah during a press conference here on Friday (17 / 9).

Teuku Faizasyah added, there must be conditions that can be agreed upon, including an agreement to stop building settlements in occupied territories, so that the negotiation process can run.
"The position of Indonesia, is the construction of these settlements can not continue because it is not conducive to discussion of the peace process between Palestine and Israel," said Faizasyah. Palestinian Attitudes

Earlier, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki in Cairo on Thursday (16 / 9) said the Arab foreign ministers have supported the establishment of Palestine, who refused to attend direct talks with Israel if Tel Aviv continued settlement activities after 26 September

"Palestine is concerned with Israel's desire to direct talks. But, they went into the talks in hopes of a breakthrough will occur because of a serious desire shown by the U.S. government," said Al-Malki.

Al-Malki said the situation is a real test of faith not only for international and U.S. efforts but also for the seriousness of the government of Israel to achieve peace.
