Ireland Pro Palestinian Buy New Ship To Gaza

Dublin Pro-Palestinian groups in Ireland, Monday launched a fundraising campaign to buy a new boat as a second attempt to penetrate Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip.


Irish ship for a mission to Gaza's goal to send between 30 to 50 citizens of Ireland that consists of community leaders, journalists and activists to join in the mission of the Freedom Flotilla.

The mission is to bring humanitarian relief supplies into Gaza, the Israeli occupation of territory controlled by Hamas factions.

"The preparation went well an international standard for the second mission of the Freedom Flotilla, which was initiated by the same group when the first mission of the Freedom Flotilla in late May, the mission who were driven brutally by the Israeli military," said the initiators in a statement.

It is estimated that between 10 to 15 humanitarian aid ships will take part in this mission, both the Freedom Flotilla. In the first mission of the Freedom Flotilla in May, the Israeli military killed nine activists Mavi Marmara Turkish ship, which was also attended by activists of Ireland.

Israel and the United Nations is investigating a separate shooting of the Israeli army against the activists that Flotillah Freedom. Action killings by Israeli soldiers against the activists caused a loud outcry from the international community including the United States.

In response to international criticism, Israel recently has begun to loosen the blockade of Gaza inhabited by approximately 1.5 million Palestinians. Israel also began to allow the inclusion of civilian relief supplies, although still launched against the territorial sea blockade on Gaza Sea coastal region.

Israeli leaders argue that their troops had opened fire on the activists in the Turkish-flagged ship, Mavi Marmara, to defend themselves. According to Israel, the activists attacked Israeli soldiers with axes and knives on board.

Turkey, one of Israel's strategic ally, called the killings as "state terrorism", and pulled its ambassador from Israel and abandon plans joint military training.
